Conclusion

Even though the immigration rules and regulations are becoming more and more complex VisaPlace are one of the few visa consultants who are reputable and assist in immigration to Canada and other countries legally. We have no reason to doubt their credibility whatsoever.

Although VisaPlace operates under Niren and Associates they also provide access to independent attorneys and self-help services at a client’s specific direction. They stress to clients that they are not a law firm or a substitute for an attorney or law firm. They can be contacted online to book a consultation or use their eligibility form for free. Another way to contact them, is through their Facebook and Twitter, as they are constantly engaging with viewers.

Hi Michael (visa place), I am currently working in Qatar as a Marketing Manager for the past 4 years. I completed my professional post-graduate graduate diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK in Feb 2014. I am now seeking for assistance to migrate to Australia or Canada and I would like to believe that your company is in a position to help me obtain permanent residency. I would like to know an estimate of the total cost for the entire process in order to have my finances prepared. I am not going to quote you on it, but an estimation would help me sort out my budget.

    Thanks
    Shihab

  5. Dennis says:

READ THE FINE PRINT!! WHY NOT MAKE IT STAND OUT SO EVERYONE CAN SEE IT INSTEAD OF HIDING IT AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR PAGE? DECEITFUL! SAVE YOUR MONEY, CALL AN ACTUAL LAW FIRM!

“+Fees paid are for “booking fees” only and are not for legal services nor for services forming a lawyer/client relationship”

“We are not a law firm or a substitute for an attorney or law firm. We cannot provide any kind of advice, explanation, opinion, or recommendation about possible legal rights, remedies, defenses, options, selection of forms or strategies”

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF TAKING YOUR MONEY! IF THEY ARE THIS DISHONEST UP FRONT JUST IMAGINE HOW MANY FALSE HOPES THEY WILL GIVE YOU JUST TO GET YOUR MONEY!!

Was looking into getting Canadian TRP. Filled out online questionnaire and received a call. They told me I could schedule a consultation with an immigration attorney to discuss my matter and it would be $49. I said ok and scheduled for the next day. The person I in fact was scheduled to speak with WAS NOT AN ATTORNEY! I was only allowed to speak with an “immigration consultant” who seemed extremely unknowledgeable about my situation, the laws regarding my situation and what the chances of approval are. The only email I received from him stated basic information that I already knew by doing simple google searches. I informed him I didn’t feel like I was given anything I didn’t already know and that they misrepresented their services by claiming I was able to speak with an attorney and that I wanted a refund if I couldn’t speak with the attorney. His response was that he relayed information directly from the attorney and basically claiming that was good enough

    • Michael says:

      Hello Dennis:

We left you a voicemail earlier this morning and wanted to connect with you by email as well, as I was quite alarmed by the information conveyed in your very public reviews and posting about VisaPlace and your experience with the company.

I take the claims very seriously and have already extensively looked into the matter. I would like to clear up the issue(s) as you described them and would appreciate it if you would let me know a time that would be preferable for you to have a conversation.

Perhaps best to begin though with addressing some of the specific issues you brought up:

It is clear the initial $49 payment is for a consultation with a licensed immigration consultant—at least it should be. And the option to consult with a lawyer within the firm is always available if desired (that is something that is costed differently and would be communicated to the client). You are always welcome to speak with an attorney when booking the appointment so if that option was not presented to you and you asked then it was most certainly an oversight.

The most relevant issue as I see it from your comments is that you did not feel your questions were satisfactorily answered. And that is something I can be sure to evaluate both at the intake and consultation level. The individual who conducted your original consultation is a licensed immigration consultant who attends continual ongoing training to maintain his status as such.

Given that you feel you did not receive value for your money I would like to propose two options for your consideration:

      1. We will gladly refund you the $49
      2. I have already spoken with one of the firm’s lawyers who would be glad to conduct a new consultation on your behalf at no cost

Please let me know which of these options you would prefer and we will make the necessary arrangements.

Furthermore, I am still interested in speaking with you at your convenience to hear more colour and detail around the experience as the feedback will be invaluable on a going forward basis.

We look forward to hearing your reply.

I realize that the actions of one employee do not speak for the company itself so I will edit my initial review. Top management reached out to me after and were very diligent is trying to resolve my concerns. They offered to allow me to speak with an attorney. It is unfortunate that didn’t happen before the “immigration consultant” made me upset so I didn’t really want to do business with them anymore. My business was strictly a phone “consultation” and I wasn’t interested in continuing that relationship so top management offered me a refund of my consultation fee, which they didn’t have to do. In all fairness, an edit of the review is deserved and they should gain back some level of trust.

My opinion is that the “consultants” aren’t the most educated and in my experience I knew more about my situation than he did. They need better training to answer questions or how to handle customers who aren’t happy with their level of service. I also suggest the company be more clear that they are scheduling “consultants”, not attorneys. Fine print at the bottom of the page isn’t good enough in my opinion.

Thank you for resolving my issues.
