Opened in 1986, Visa Consultancy Services claim to be the “only source for major travel agents and corporate bodies all over India for visa requirements.” This is a huge claim to make so we decided to take a good look at the company with our VCS review.
They appear to offer services across more than 20 countries as a visa consultancy service. The company was created and owned by Mr. Vipul C. Shah, so at least we can put a face to the name of VCS.
Let’s see if the company does indeed following its slogan “Truthfullness | Workfullness | Lovefullness”. We won’t question the poor english of their mantra, we’ll just go ahead and hope that the company will deliver truthful services.
Although VCS mentions that they have offices in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kolkata, we are only given contact information to three of them. Their Hyderabad office contact number is not listed.
The company is fairly transparent. They supply names, email addresses and phone numbers of employees you can contact to apply with their company. Sadly, this transparency did not extend to their fees or Terms and Conditions.
It seems that there is very little VCS does not offer when it comes to travel. They offer a variety of services like:
- Travel services;
- Car rental;
- Airport assistance;
- Emigration services;
- Attestation of certificates; and
- Legalisation of documents
We tried to locate what the company meant when it specified that it delivers emigration services, but we came up empty handed.
We examined their website, but could not find any other information on their site to help clarify their services especially when it came to immigration.
We are directed to a contact us page that does not really help us because the company will only supply information to us after we sign up.
We continued our VCS review and took a look at their website and we came up with some interesting findings.
If you are in doubt, ask VCS to email you a link to these documents as they are meant to help protect both the customer and business from fraud and bad business practice.
Another thing to note is that VCS do not have a secure website. In other words, the site is not HTPPS secure meaning third parties can more easily gain access to your sensitive information like your credit card details, email address and other information you would definitely not want to share with strangers. If you ever do make payments on this site, we would suggest you do so with caution or go through a better known intermediary like Paypal, Gyrol or any other easily traceable online payment options.
Does VCS Have Authorized Representatives?
Another aspect we looked at is whether or not VCS actually does hire professional authorized representatives like immigration lawyers or RCICs (Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants).
We are not told that the company uses immigration lawyers or consultants specifically or are even given the names of anyone who will personally provide immigration consultations to you. We could not find any RCICs registered under the company’s name.
The company mentions one of their contact options as Visacon. This appears to be a seperate company entirely to VCS and we are not sure if they work collaboratively between the two companies but decided to have a look.
After further investigation we could not find if Visacon hires authorized representatives though they did state that they their, “firm is officialy perceived by ICCRC Canada and MARA.” Sadly we could not find any ICCRC members listed under the company’s name, Visacon Migration Consulting.
We also tried to “Talk to our expert”, but the link on their page led to nothing. We then tried to “Schedule a meeting” and again were merely directed to the top of the page again.
We tried to track down if VCS has any sort of pull on social media but we could not even find a Facebook or Twitter account.
This does make it somewhat more difficult to examine the company’s services. At least we found that the website itself has some reviews written by google users.
Comments ranged from very positive to very negative discussions about the company’s services. Here are just a few of the VCS reviews we did uncover.
Some people had issues with customer service and information like the person below.
While others had nothing but praise for the company.
We found that our VCS review was a bit inconclusive because there honestly was not much information to work with on the company site. Their lack of social media accounts did not help either.
Sadly we could not locate the authorized representative used by the company or through the other company, Visacon.
Unfortunately, another issue we came across was the site’s security which is seriously lacking due to its non HTTPS status. This can make you more vulnerable to outside interference especially when your personal information is entered into the site. We do advise caution should you apply with them online.
One positive thing we can at least say is that the company seems to have some pretty positive reviews from most of its customers. They do commend the services offered by VCS, although we only have Google reviews to work with.
