Who Does Your Immigration Porta?

 porta-logo

Porta Immigration is a company that helps individuals and their families with a high net worth immigrate to other countries. Porta Immigration claims to work closely with financial institutions and trusted immigration lawyers. Porta Immigration also claim to specialise in helping their clients obtain permanent residence.

On their About page they claim that they work with and are registered and recognised by the ICCRC. We would really like to tell you who the RCIC agent is but there is no name or RCIC number listed anywhere on the website.

The Website

When you first look through the website for Porta Immigration it looks clean and impressive but when you start digging a little more things start to unravel. Porta Immigration claims to provide immigration services to a number of countries like:

  • Canada
  • The UK
  • The USA
  • St Kitts & Nevis
  • Austria

This is all good and well if there are immigration agents or each country but this is not the case. The only immigration seal that is available on the website is the ICCRC’s and there is no RCIC number or even an agent’s name.

There are options to look at immigration information for all of these countries but once again the focus seems to be on Canada as the information provided on the other countries is very limited.

There is an option to fill out a short questionnaire and the questions are pretty standard but when it comes to clicking on your immigration option, you can only click an investor option for each country. Why is this the case?

There are three testimonials that are provided on the Homepage of the website and this is a good thing. But when we started reading the reviews we found that there are no names or dates listed. The countries that these individuals are from is the only thing that is clear about these testimonials.

“My experience being serviced by PORTA IMMIGRATION has been wonderful. The process was often frustrating given the delayed government processing times, but the reassurance and encouragement I received helped me to stay patient and finally I am settled in Canada with my family. It would have been difficult to endure the process without the professionalism and prompt service I was fortunate to receive and all credit goes to the PORTA team for helping me get here.”

I.K., Pakistan

According to the Porta Immigration website the headquarters for their office is in Vancouver with another office in Toronto.

The website has a privacy policy and when you click on it you see that it is a privacy policy and terms of use all-in-one, how convenient? There is however no refund policy available. The information on these important online documents is limited and doesn’t cover much.

What Social Media?

Porta Immigration has no social media links from their website and we were unable to find a Facebook account for Porta Immigration. We did however find a Twitter account for the company.

According to Porta Immigration’s Twitter account the company is based in Dubai. This is puzzling because on the website there is no mention of an office in Dubai. The last post from the account is from May 2013 and there are just over 50 followers.

We think that is safe to say that the social media presence for Porta Immigration has not been managed well and there are definitely improvements that could be made. The posts to the Twitter account seem very suggestive and this could be problematic.

Our Conclusion

Porta Immigration claims to work with experienced lawyers and immigration agents (ICCRC) yet there is no indication of who these people are. We find this very troubling as it should be the first thing that you mention.

We searched for an RCIC agent on the ICCRC’s website under the company’s name and we came up empty handed. The information about office whereabouts differs from the website to the Twitter account so this is yet another red flag for us.

There also seems to be a focus on Canada and immigration to Canada as there are no other country’s immigration organisations mentioned anywhere on the website. Did they list these other countries to make themselves seem more reputable?
