MyCana Immigration Recruitment Review
Pay first, ask questions later. This seems to be the business model of MyCana Immigration Recruitment. If you are wondering about the legitimacy and trustworthiness of this immigration services company, we have you covered. Our MyCana Immigration Recruitment review covers everything from their website to their social media.
Who are they?
MyCana Immigration Recruitment is based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. It is operated by Marlou Poquiz, a registered member of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants and the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC). We checked his membership number, R512951, and found him to be a legitimate member of the ICCRC.
On their website there is a screenshot of a certificate of excellence from a company called ThreeBest Rated. We did some research on this company and found that they have no specific authority on Canadian immigration. Instead, the award is based on user submissions to the company. For this reason, you should not base your assessment of their services on the “awards” they have won.
Other than Mr. Poquiz there is no reference to anyone else who works at the company. So make sure you are dealing with Mr. Poquiz when discussing your immigration plans, seeing as he is the only person there who is legally allowed to be an immigration consultant.
Services and Website
MyCana Immigration Recruitment offers a whole range of immigration services to Canada. However, it is difficult to determine how much they know about the topics listed on their “services” page.
If you click on any of the links like “Federal Skilled Worker” or “Student Visa”, you are guided to a short paragraph with basic information on migrating to Canada. Instead of providing detailed information to their clients, the website immediately directs you to their consultation booking page.
It seems a fee of $100 per hour is required to just find any extra information about Canada immigration. Possible clients do not even know what any of the requirements for the various immigration streams to Canada are yet.
Their website has very little content. Even the small news section on their homepage is a link to another unaffiliated website called Canada Immigration Newsletter. MyCana Immigration Recruitment seems to say look elsewhere if you are looking for detailed information.
The website does not make any reference to privacy policies, refund policies or terms of conditions. Be careful of giving away money and personal information to them if they do not provide these to you.
MyCana Immigration Recruitment has two social media accounts that we could find.
On Youtube they have zero subscribers and only one video. Titled, “Canadian Immigration Mycana”, this video features three families robotically talking about how MyCana Immigration Recruitment changed their lives. It is very clear that the people are reading from scripts, so do not take what they say too seriously.
On Facebook they have 4,439 likes and an average review of 4.6 stars. We read through the reviews and it seems as if people have generally had a great experience with MyCana Immigration Recruitment. Their newsfeed is quite active and typically features infographics about employment opportunities in Canada. Unfortunately, even on Facebook, it seems as if they produce little original content.
MyCana Immigration Recruitment is difficult to judge. On the one hand their Facebook account and ICCRC membership make them seem useful and trustworthy, but on the other hand, the lack of information they provide puts their expertise under question.
To conclude our MyCana Immigration Recruitment review we recommend you to proceed with caution if you are considering using their services. It is not a hundred percent clear that they can be trusted so rather find another company that you can trust here.
