What does JDS Stand for?
Claiming to be “The World’s Immigration Firm”, JDS Immigration is an immigration consultancy that offers visa assistance and other services to foreign nationals looking to immigrate all over the world. JDS Immigration further go on to state that they have been providing this service for over 5 years.
On an initial assessment of their website, we noted that JDS do not make any mention of having an RCIC nor do they provide any personal details of anyone who could possibly be regulated to handle immigration. On further inspection we uncovered that their managing director is a man named Jatinder Dhesi, but no further information was provided.
We did however find a Ms Ning Pagaling-Becada on LinkedIn who has affiliations with JDS Immigration and judging from her LinkedIn profile, she is the “Immigration Consultant” at JDS, however don’t get it confused with an RCIC because she is not one.
JDS allegedly offers a wide range of services to a variety of countries namely; Canada, USA, New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Spain and England. Moreover, their facilities entail “visa services, educational counselling, recruitment, assistance and representation.” We are a little concerned about these claims since it has already established that they do not have any RCIC’s for Canada, but they also don’t make mention of any other regulatory bodies on site. So who exactly will be handling all of the facilities that they claim to offer?
They do make mention of a ‘Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIC) for Canada’ but when we looked into the so-called society, we found a notice by the CIC reinforcing that the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) remains the designated regulator of immigration consultants solely.
JDS further go on to claim that they not only assist with visas, but they even arrange employment and advise students on study opportunities.
On their ‘About us’ page, we noted the following statement;
“For all sponsorships, we assist applicants to apply within an area of their choice and work them through the process for the desired results. We help you re-unite with your family.”
Though noble as this statement may be, it is misleading as we know for a fact that no immigration consultancy has the authority to guarantee a sponsorship to immigrants.
The website offers a wealth of information on all things immigration related and we also like that JDS have explained each and every visa program and offering in detail so that the immigrant knows exactly what they will be signing up for.
We do have a few issues with the way they advertise themselves. They claim to be legitimate yet they do not provide us with any proof to back these claims on site. On the other hand, we cannot fault them for not having enough resources or information on site.
JDS have neglected to add a terms and conditions page which stipulate what their policies are on refunds and cancellations. We also found a few glitches in the text on some pages.
Social Media & Online Review
JDS Immigration have two Facebook accounts; one for their Indian office and one that looks to be more general. Both pages have a small following and seem to be hopelessly neglected which tells us that they do not care for their online reputation as much.
The website has a testimonial page which has a few good reviews but we generally don’t like to rely solely on testimonials as they tend to be obviously biased.
We can’t say that we fully trust JDS Immigration with all of the misleading information they have portrayed on their website, but we do appreciate that they made a lot of information available nonetheless. Moreover, their poor social media upkeep makes us skeptical and we would also prefer to deal with a consultancy who has an RCIC on board.
