Our CICS Immigration Consulting Inc review answers all the questions you might have about this company. Can you trust them? Are they regulated? Do 20 years of experience make you an expert in immigration? By the end of this review, you will know if CICS Immigration Consulting Inc is the company for your immigration to Canada.
As previously mentioned, the Vancouver based CICS has over 20 years of experience in the field of Canadian immigration. Its president and partner, Mohammed Khadempour is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and claims to have been the previous regulator of the ICCRC (Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council).
If you do not yet know, companies must employ RCICs or immigration lawyers if they charge for immigration services. Thankfully, CICS have this legal requirement covered, employing a whole list of RCICs, including Alex Khadempour (#R413159) and Rhiannon Jones (#R530031) among others.
CICS claim to be able to help you with immigration to Canada using any of the major immigration programs, including:
- Federal Skilled Worker;
- Canadian Experience Class;
- Skilled Trades Program;
- Federal and Quebec Investor Program;
- Provincial Nominee Programs;
- Student Permits; and
- Work Permits
For the most part, CICS seem to have a great understanding of each of these categories, providing a ton of information on each of them on their website. However, on their Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) section it is a completely different story. They make no mention of the various subcategories of the PNPs and merely provide external links to the provinces and territories’ immigration websites. The problem is that some of those links lead to non-existing pages! CICS has not updated their website in a very long time seeing as most of the provinces have completely moved websites.
This did not give us a good impression of CICS because you should be able to trust that they are familiar with immigration news and trends if they are supposed to assist you with your application. How can they properly help you if they are so behind on Canadian immigration?
CICS offer a bunch of different packages and services for their clients and we enjoyed how upfront they are with prices and what each package contains. They provide the following paid services:
- Hourly consultation;
- Start to finish package;
- Pay per question;
- Full application review;
- Immigration plan; and
- Post immigration and settlement advice
The last service on the list we found to be a nice addition that not many companies include. Essentially, it involves assisting clients who have already immigrated with tasks, like opening a bank account. It makes us believe that the company really cares for their clients beyond the initial immigration process, however, the post-immigration and settlement still comes with a price tag.
CICS also offers a free assessment service for you to figure out if you can qualify for Canadian immigration.
CICS has a news section on their website, but it is seriously outdated! The last article was published on 7 April, 2018 and only two articles were published in 2017. It seems we have spotted a trend – CICS does not like to update their content. Did they forget to do it or are they just lazy?
Facebook and Twitter
CICS has a few social media accounts, but they only seem to use Facebook and Twitter.
On Facebook, they have 5,718 likes and score an average rating of 4.6 out of 5 based on 32 opinions. Only three of these reviews have comments and all three of them are overwhelmingly positive.
Despite neglecting to update their website, CICS is really active on Facebook. They regularly post highlights of the news in Canadian immigration, like the latest Express Entry draws.
On Twitter, we are back to neglect. They last tweeted in February 2018 for their 4,531 followers.
The Conclusion to Our CICS Immigration Consulting Inc Review
The biggest issue CICS has, is their inability to remain up-to-date. We found this very problematic because the field of Canadian immigration is constantly changing. As a prospective client, you have to be assured that you receive comprehensive, current and useful advice to ensure that your immigration application goes smoothly.
We can confirm that they have several RCICs in their employment and chances are they can be trusted for their services despite the neglect of their website. If you are looking for a trustworthy company that can also provide you with assistance that is in line with the latest in Canadian immigration changes, have a look at our trusted agencies.
