Is Ann Arbour Consultants Inc. reliable?
“Reliable”, “Trusted” and “Canadian” – this is what the slogan on Ann Arbour website states. In this review, we will uncover whether they are what they claim and find out more about this immigration consultancy.
Established in 2002, Ann Arbour have been in operation for 14 years. This consultancy has offices all throughout Canada with their head office situated in Toronto and others in Alberta and Saskatchewan. According to the information provided in their ‘about us’ page, they have also expanded to Asia, South East Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
Ms Sharmila Perera is the president of this consultancy and she is also a member in good standing with the ICCRC. Even though they have not made their president’s RCIC number available, we did not find any difficulty in finding her on a manual search.
Ann Arbour further go on to claim; “Our mission is also make true the Canadian dream to those seeking a better life for themselves and their families, be it fair wages, better career, safe environment or simply a place where you can call home.”
Their website is easily navigated with all of their tabs placed on either side of the page for convenience. We appreciate that Ann Arbour are straightforward about what they do and how they intend to assist the immigrant. It seems that their main focus is Canadian Immigration, but Ann Arbour also allegedly deal with US Green Cards.
This immigration consultancy offers their expertise and advice on several visa programs ranging from temporary immigration to permanent. The website offers a wealth of information on each program respectively and they also have a page which provides useful links to assist in the immigration process.
Among the few incentives of choosing Ann Arbour Consultants is the Free initial consultation, assessment and evaluations that they offer. They also offer a DIY DVD to show the immigrant how to apply for a visa and it also comes with its own value-added perks.
It is also said that Ann Arbour Consultants Inc. is in the process of registering a non-profit organization that will provide services to new immigrants, but they have not disclosed which one nor how it will benefit the immigrant as yet.
Social Media & Online Review
The testimonial page on Ann Arbour Consultants displays nothing but positive feedback of their service and their Facebook page reflects it too with more than 6000 likes. We did find it odd that they had two Facebook pages – one that was last updated in 2014 and one that seems to be the more recent one. The recent Facebook is well maintained, with regular posts advertising their services and relevant content but they don’t seem to respond to queries on this social media platform.
We also found a share from the Advance English Academy announcing their affiliation with Ann Arbour via Facebook and Twitter. We were not able to uncover any Twitter accounts for this consultancy but we did find Ms Perera advertising for them on her personal Twitter profile.
Ann Arbour seem to be reliable enough to trust with your immigration needs, but we would advise to call beforehand to find out about certain perms and policies they may have neglected on the webiste. We appreciate that they are so straightforward and we also like that they have offered extra features like the DIY DVD for the immigrant to have more options.
