Amir Ismail & Associates (AIA) – Authorized Immigration Advisers

Established in 1991, Amir Ismail & Associates (AIA) claim to be a group of ‘seasoned and authorized immigration and citizenship experts.’ Their offices are based in Toronto, Canada and they also have an office in Pakistan. AIA further claim to assist people from all walks of life to obtain a visa to either Canada, Australia, USA or UK.

Amir Ismail is the regulated and authorized representative of this immigration consultancy. According to his bio on the site, it states that “he is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Adviser and a Member in good standing with the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC), the national regulator of immigration consultants in Canada. He is also a Member of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC) and a Fellow of the Canadian Migration Institute.” Boasting 24 years’ experience in the immigration field, Amir is also a High Honours Graduate of the Seneca’s Immigration Practitioner Program, a program upon which the former regulator Canadian Society of Immigration Consultant’s (CSIC) educational standards were based.

Taking the above into account, it’s safe to say that they are well certified to offer immigration advice to those looking to immigrate to Canada, but what of the other countries that they offer?

The Website

AIA’s homepage is impressive with a brief summary of who they are, their services and a video to introduce their services further. On this page, they also have a ‘facts’ section which boasts of 1600 satisfied clients, 53 immigration programs and 24 years’ experience. The website also offers a wealth of resources like a news page, blog and multimedia section to help the immigrant get more acquainted with who they are and the immigration processes. In addition to this, they also host live webinars and immigration presentations.

They do not have a terms and conditions or a privacy policy, but they have made some of their terms available under their payment booking page. From what we could gather, they do not have a refund policy as such, but for those who would like to cancel their consultations, AIA state that “cancellations [need to be] requested less than 48 hours before the actual appointment time [and] will result in forfeiture of the entire fee paid. You will have to pay a new fee if you wish to have another appointment.”

The Services

As previously mentioned, AIA do say that they offer up to 53 different immigration programs on their homepage. They also state that they have the necessary training, experience and knowledge to assist those looking to immigrate to Canada. AIA offer assessments and consultations on several visa programs which includes family sponsorship, professional skilled worker program and student programs among others. They also claim to offer additional services like settlement services, help with travel documents to name a few. AIA do not neglect to mention that all services will be billed for and they also stipulate clearly how much each will cost.

Social Media & Online Review

CaptureAIA has an impressive social media presence, with 125,958 likes on Facebook and regular postings, we can see that they value their online community. Their Facebook also has many positive reviews and it seems that those who are dissatisfied are quickly responded to and assisted. We appreciate that AIA take the time and effort to respond to these queries as it shows us that they do follow-ups.

This site seems to have all of the necessary requirements to meet our criteria of a trusted consultancy. Even though they do not have a terms and conditions or privacy policy, they have made an effort to make some of their terms available in their booking policy. We also appreciate that their social media presence is well up-to-date and has a large following. The only setback worth mentioning is the fact that they have not made their UK, US and Australian representatives known on the site.
