Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Canadian permanent residence to 750 competitors in the Express Entry pool. The most recent draw from the pool, and the 41st altogether since the selection system was dispatched in January 2015, occurred on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. Applicants with 538 or more Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points were given an ITA.
Competitors who have been issued an ITA are currently in a position to present an application for Canadian permanent residence. Relatives, including spouses or common-law accomplices, and in addition dependent children, may likewise come to Canada along with the main candidate.
This draw denotes an increase in the CRS point necessary in order for competitors to get an ITA, compared to the past draw, in which hopefuls with 490 or more CRS points were issued with an ITA.
Be that as it may, the CRS cut-off point has vacillated before when the points needed rose to 534 in May this year, yet descended again from that point. Canada’s Minister of Immigration, John McCallum, has pondered freely whether the Express Entry system, which was presented by the past Conservative government is in line for changes that are expected to advantage many candidates who are now in the pool. What’s more, McCallum has recently expressed that he wishes to build the general number of foreigners coming to Canada over the coming years. These recommendations are expected to be explained in detail in the near future.
Express Entry is Canada’s immigration administration system for the government economic immigration programs, in particular: Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, and the Canadian Experience Class.
Qualified hopefuls may present a profile into the Express Entry pool, where they are positioned by CRS. The legislature of Canada chooses the top-positioned competitors on a priority basis when it performs one of its frequent draws from the pool. Applicants who are issued an ITA for permanent residence then have 60 days to present a complete e-application, from which point the legislature of Canada expects to prepare the application within six months.
